"Plenty of blue fruit and granite aromas with hints of violets on the nose. Full body, firm and linear with very fine tannins and a long and flavorful finish. Vertical and focused. Drink now."

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate, 92 points
"A tad lower in acidity but surprisingly fresh, the 2015 Torroja Vi de Vila is fruit-driven with a caressing texture. It is a 50/50 blend of Cariñena and Garnacha from different vineyards on slate llicorella soils, fermented in oak and matured in foudre until bottling in late June 2016. It's a little closed, possibly because of the recent bottling, as Dominik likes to work in a reductive way, which in the long term adds ageability in bottle. There's something savory in the nose here, perhaps iodine, hints of licorice and a mix of flowers. It's very tasty, with deep flavors and very good persistence. This has great elegance and freshness. There are 16,800 bottles produced. This is great for a slightly warmer vintage. Here the aim is also to reach around 20,000 bottles per vintage and stop there."

“Brilliant ruby color. Highly perfumed aromas of ripe red berries, candied lavender, incense and allspice, with a smoky mineral overtone. Sappy and energetic in the mouth, offering appealingly sweet raspberry and cherry flavors that slowly put on weight while maintaining vivacious character. The floral quality repeats emphatically on the finish, which clings with real tenacity and persistent spiciness. (all whole clusters and aging for 18 months in concrete tanks and foudres)"

THE STORY TO KNOW

When Eben Sadie and Dominik Huber first met in 2001 at Mas Martinet, Eben was a promising and highly-regarded young enologist from South Africa and Dominik, German by birth, was a wine enthusiast with a background in business administration and an interest in the culinary arts. In short order they became fast friends. With the help of the Perez family of Mas Martinet, Eben and Dominik purchased some fruit and leased a little corner in the cellar of Cims de Porrera where they vinified their first vintage of Dits del Terra in 2001. After two years at Cims de Porrera they moved into a tiny cellar in Torroja del Priorat. The move coincided with the first vintage of Arbossar in 2003. In the following years they released additional cuvees: Torroja in 2005, Manyes and Tosses in 2006, Pedra de Guix in 2008 and Terra de Cuques in 2011. Throughout the decade since its founding, Terroir al Limit has evolved in its understanding of the Priorat - coming to view it as a region similar to Burgundy in its complexity and potential to produce elegant and transparent wines.
