"North Berkely Imports can do no wrong, this is true, of course, especially with this bottling from Domaine Anne Gros. Let me tell you: we're blown away by the quality.  A classic blend of Grenache, Syrah and Carignan, showing dark and spicy notes with violet, blackberry, black cherry and cassis. The palate shows fantastic fruit, with a body that is dry and textured and a long lingering finish.  Notes of cedar and pipe tobacco develop as the wine opens, a very enjoyable, easy-drinking glass of wine.  Drink now through 2020" 94 Insider Points

What do you get when you combine 25-year-old Grenache with 35+ year old Syrah and Carignan? This STUNNER! '50/50’ (not to be confused with the blend) describes the partnership of the two winemakers—from the fields to the cellar, all work is divided equally. A true “table wine,” made for pleasure and enjoying with a slight chill during the hotter, southern summer months. Aged stainless steel tanks, this wine is delicate, fruity and dense. Its vocation is to be refreshing and fresh, glass after glass, and during a meal.

Aromas of blackberries, crushed stones, wild garrigue. Medium-bodied, suave; flavors of black cherries and plums.

Southern French spirit, Burgundian soul. The partnership of Burgundian winemakers Anne Gros and Jean-Paul Tollot in the Minervois sets a new standard for quality and character in the Languedoc. Finesse and precision are the two main characteristics of these Minervois wines—words more often used to describe Gros’ Burgundian crus rather than the concentrated reds of the south. Gros has for decades headed her own estate Vosne-Romanée; her partner, Jean-Paul, hails from the family estate of Tollot-Beaut in Chorey-lès-Beaune. The pair wanted to make wine together, but the question was where—and the search, over a few years, brought them to the high-altitude hills of Minervois.

The region’s varied terroir, cooler heights (the same altitude as Vosne-Romanée, curiously enough) and very old vines offered just the combination they wanted, for wines that speak of both the sun and of silk in every sip.
