James Suckling, 90 Points: This has great blackberry and blackcurrant character with just a hint of overripeness. On the palate, there’s enough freshness to carry the ample body. Crisp finish.

We are a winery in La Rioja. Located on deep soils with plenty of limestone rock. The average age of our vineyards: 40-100 years Tempranillo, over 40 years Grenache, 15-30 years Graciano, 50 years Viura and 5 years Verdejo. Our goal is to get centenarian vineyards, lately we have 12 hectares more to our exploitation between 60 and 100 years.

Exploitation surface currently total: 52 hectares. The success of our wines, may lie in our potential in variety Graciano which variety is very difficult to grow, requiring a limited humidity and temperature so it is not very abundant even be the most valued variety in Rioja right now.

Harvest selected from the best plots, collected in boxes of 12-13kg. Winemaking: Alcoholic fermentation in tanks permeable concrete capacity of 3000 liters. Fruit possible thanks to a careful control of temperature (24‑-26‑). The 60% graciano gives structure complexity. Pressed vertical press, makes the malolactic fermentation in its own lees in barrels French oak. The three varieties are mixed to make the blend before bottling. Aging: Aged for 6 months in French oak barrels.

Deep purple in the center, with blue on the edge. Very aromatic with wild blueberries. Wine very bright on the palate with a long finish. With firm tannin that gives it good structure, is a tasty wine and relaxed.
