Truth or Dare?
Truth.
What do you really think about this wine?
Honestly, this is one of the best and most intriguing sparkling wines we’ve tasted in recent memory.

$15 sparkling rosé?! What is this Friday sorcery?! You’d think this price would be a mistake (ahem, 58% off retail…say whaaat), but alas it’s not. It’s the result of some arm wrestling negotiations with our friends at Tank who we love and adore to bits. They are one of the best, hip, casual hangouts in the Valley and well, we’re here to support them in every which way we can.

Sassy and sexy that's just damn delightful, this bubbly turns heads and not only with its evocative label. A blend of 87% Mourvedre, 12% Grenache and 1% Counoise (the latter is known for its peppery notes and acidity) sourced from the Sierra Foothills, there’s a truly unique complexity in the wine that’s fruit-forward yet well structured with a tantalizing mousse.

Here’s what the winery says about it: "On the nose, expect notes of strawberry, rose petals and floral violets. These bubbles are crisp and satisfying with exceptional minerality and a hint of wild strawberry and cherry Jolly Rancher on the palate."

Crisp, satisfying and only $15? Will you dare? Sure hope so. Get your $90 6-pack with shipping included tout suite for your summer adventures.

TASTING NOTES

Notes of framboise and wild strawberries, rose petals and violets with a hint of cherry Jolly Rancher and white pepper on the finish. Crisp with vibrant minerality and a tantalizing mousse.

THE STORY TO KNOW

Tank Garage Winery comes to life in a 1930s era gas station in the Napa Valley town of Calistoga, California. An area graced with world-class vineyards and cool California made wines.

The winery and tasting room are the dream of two longtime friends — who, after decades of collective experience in farming and creating world-class wine, decided to celebrate the heart and soul of vintage California culture and creativity.

The result is a small collection of “one off,” uniquely-crafted wines that draw heavily on the owners’ personal lifestyles and experiences. Belief in the notion that ideas and influences continually surround us, tease us, and tempt us is at the heart of Tank Garage Winery.

About Truth or Dare:
The lights are dim, the hour is dark and you can see the flicker of adventure in their eyes. You hear the subtle sound of the glass rattling against the floor as you watch the bottle spin round and round, feeling the anticipation build with every turn.  The bottle slowly comes to a decisive stop – it's your turn. Now the question is whether it's going to be truth...or dare.

Oh, Mourvèdre, our beloved Mourvèdre, you are the star of this blend. We source Mourvèdre from the up-and-coming Sierra Foothills region for many reasons, including its ability to lend color, fruit, and structure with only limited skin contact. Beyond that, there's an authentic and rustic quality to this grape that provides abundant flavor and complexity.

On the nose, expect notes of strawberry, rose petals and floral violets. These bubbles are crisp and satisfying with exceptional minerality and a hint of wild strawberry and cherry Jolly Rancher on the palate.

This marks our third collaboration with our friend and photographer Sita Kaylin, who previously shot Vinyl Love and Lick for us. She recently released an autobiographical book called “Anything But a Wasted Life,” which details her career and struggles working in the sex industry. This photo depicts an unknown person in stockings and heels standing in a motel hallway. We won’t say who it is, but it would definitely surprise you.
